Dubai Restaurant
Restaurant Menu Design · Persian Visual Identity · Print Design
For Dubai Restaurant, I designed a restaurant menu that brings together Persian visual culture, food presentation and contemporary graphic design.
The restaurant specialises in Persian cuisine, including charcoal-grilled kebabs, traditional rice dishes and other Middle Eastern favourites. The aim was to create a menu that did more than list dishes — it needed to feel connected to the warmth, character and hospitality of Persian dining.
Tradition with a Contemporary Touch
The visual direction takes inspiration from Persian and Islamic decorative art, using ornamental motifs, geometric details, warm earthy colours and elegant typography.
Rather than making the design feel overly traditional, I used these cultural elements selectively, combining them with a cleaner contemporary layout. This creates a balance between heritage and modern restaurant branding.
Food photography also plays an important role, allowing customers to understand the dishes visually while adding colour and appetite appeal to the pages.
Designed Around the Customer
A restaurant menu needs to look attractive, but more importantly, it needs to be easy to understand and comfortable to browse.
Careful attention was given to typographic hierarchy, spacing, food categories, photography and page composition, helping customers move naturally through the menu and find dishes easily.
The final design combines graphic design, food photography and Persian-inspired visual elements to create a practical marketing piece that supports both the restaurant’s identity and the customer dining experience.
