Editorial & Academic Publication Design

Magazine Design · Cover Design · Editorial Layout · Print Design

A collection of editorial and publication design projects created for universities, academic organisations and scientific institutions. These projects included internal magazines, academic bulletins and institutional publications designed to communicate research, news, achievements and educational content in a clear and professional format.

From Content to Visual Story

Each publication started with understanding the content and creating a visual structure around it. I worked on both cover design and internal page layout, combining typography, photography, imagery, colour and graphic elements to give each publication its own character while maintaining the organisation’s visual identity.

For content-heavy academic publications, readability was particularly important. I developed clear typographic hierarchy, grid systems and editorial layouts to organise articles, headings, images, captions and supporting information without making the pages feel overcrowded.

Cover & Magazine Design

The cover is often the first point of connection with a publication. My approach to magazine cover design was to create a strong visual concept that reflected the main subject of each issue while remaining appropriate for an academic and professional audience.

Inside, the visual language continued through consistent typography, page structure and graphic elements, creating a smooth reading experience from one section to the next.

Designed for Academic Communication

These publications were created for universities, research environments and scientific organisations, where design needs to support the information rather than compete with it.

The aim was to transform detailed academic and institutional content into publications that felt organised, accessible and visually engaging — balancing creativity with the credibility expected from educational and scientific communication.

Print-Ready Production

The projects also involved preparing publications for professional printing, with attention to page dimensions, image resolution, colour management, margins, bleed and pre-press requirements.

This meant considering the complete journey of the publication — from initial content and visual concept through to the final printed magazine or bulletin.
